For his first addition to the Stax catalog in 34 old age, Floyd turned not to Memphis simply to Boston. Working with local producers Ducky Carlisle and Michael Dinallo, Floyd revisits songs he wrote for himself and others at the legendary phonograph recording label that was revived last year. The 73-year-old Floyd sounds astonishingly loose and soulful, as if still in his �Knock on Wood� heyday.
